Milo Promotion
Apollo marketing approached our team with an original concept where participants could upload a photo of themselves and then merge it with a team photo of the Black Caps.
The final photo could be saved, printed, emailed or shared with friends.
After participating in the photo merging process, participants could enter a draw to win prizes.
Concept Implementation required:
- Built a "client side" image manipulation tool with nothing but JavaScript that allowed for correct scaling and enabled responsive rotation across all browsers.
- Achieved the highest performance and reliability possible through server side image manipulation and Ajax call backs.
- Developed custom software that enabled users to manipulate their photo, in ways such as stretching, enlarging and scaling to fitting with a frame.
- Developed a framework that allowed users to store the final image or share it in a number of ways.
- The system was developed for ease of moderation on Milo's part to ensure that no inappropriate or undesirable content was submitted through the site.
